Shopify Functions and Scripts migration
Shopify Scripts stopped running on June 30, 2026. If your checkout relied on them, discounts, shipping rules or payment rules may already be gone. We rebuild that logic as Shopify Functions and add the rules Scripts never could.
When stores come to us for this
- Customers report that a discount no longer applies.
- Shipping rates you used to hide or rename are back.
- Payment methods show where you used to hide them.
- You enforce cart rules in theme JavaScript that shoppers can get around.
Scripts migration
We read your Scripts report, list every rule in plain language and rebuild the ones that still matter.
Discount functions
Tiered pricing, buy X get Y, bundles, gifts and customer-specific prices that combine the way you intend.
Delivery customizations
Hide, rename or reorder delivery options by cart, customer, market or product.
Payment customizations
Hide or reorder payment methods, for example cash on delivery above a set order value.
Checkout validation
Block checkout when a rule is broken: minimums, limits, restricted products or B2B terms.
Tested like code that touches revenue
Rust or JavaScript, version control, a development store and test carts for every edge case.
Our discount app runs on Functions
Our app CartGift runs its BOGO, spend-tier and free gift promotions on Shopify Functions, so we know their limits first-hand. See CartGift →

What will be built, how long it takes and what it costs — agreed before work starts.
Preview for review
You test every change on a preview theme or development store first.
Checked code
Theme Check, type checks and manual testing on desktop and phones.
Documentation
Notes on settings and custom code, so your team knows how it works.
Version control
Changes tracked in Git and, if you like, delivered to your own repository.
One contact
You talk to the developer building your project, not a chain of managers.

Build
Every change is reviewed on a preview theme or development store before it reaches customers.
Launch and support
We release with you, document what we built and stay available for what comes next.
Do we need Shopify Plus?
Not always. Public App Store apps that use Functions work on every plan. Custom apps that contain Functions only run on Shopify Plus. We check whether an existing app covers your case before writing custom code.
How do we find out what our Scripts did?
Shopify generates a Scripts customizations report under Apps → Script Editor → Replace Shopify Scripts. Export it as CSV and send it to us; it is the best brief there is. If you have the script code, our free Scripts to Functions checker maps each part to a Function.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on how many rules there are and how unusual they are. After reading your report we send a written scope with a fixed price and timeline.
Will the new rules work for orders that do not start on our storefront?
Yes. Functions and checkout validation run in Shopify’s checkout, so they apply however the cart was built, unlike rules in theme JavaScript.
