Setup

Images and products appear for menu links that point to collections. In Online Store › Navigation, link the items to collections, and make sure the collections have images and products. Check that Show collection images in mega menu is on and Products in mega menu is above 0 in the Header section.

Color swatches do not appear.

Swatches use the Color category metafield. In the product admin, choose a product category, then connect the Color option to the Color metafield. Also check Show native color swatches in Theme settings › Product cards.

Filters are missing on collection pages.

Install Shopify Search & Discovery and add filters there. Then check that Enable filters is on in the Collection section.

The Shop by price tiles show all products.

The section needs the Price filter. Add it in Search & Discovery › Filters.

The header is not transparent on my home page.

The transparent header only works when the first section on the home page is a full-image Hero or a Slideshow, and Transparent over homepage hero is on.

Products and cart

The free shipping bar does not show.

Check that Free shipping minimum is filled in and that the customer is shopping in your store currency. The bar is hidden for other currencies.

Why is the delivery date calendar not showing?

Check Show in, Minimum bag subtotal, Only for countries and Only when the bag contains a product tagged. Carts with only gift cards or digital products never show it.

Recommendations are empty.

Shopify needs some sales and product data before it can recommend products. You can set related and complementary products yourself in Search & Discovery › Product recommendations.

A countdown shows the wrong time.

Dates use your store’s time zone (Settings › General) and the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM.

Editing

I don’t see animations in the theme editor.

Scroll reveal is turned off in the theme editor so that every section stays visible while you edit. Preview the theme to see it.

How do I give one product a different layout?

In the theme editor, open a product page, choose Create template, change it and save. Then assign the new template to products in the product admin under Theme template.

Can I edit the theme code?

Yes. Duplicate the theme first, then use Edit code in the theme menu. Code changes are not carried over when you update Ani, and changes to theme code are not covered by theme support.
