FAQ and troubleshooting
Is the 3D effect bad for speed or accessibility?
No. Products and text load first and the spatial layer is added after (Build the world after content loads). The optional 3D light field loads only on capable devices. Visitors who prefer reduced motion get fades only or no motion, and you can switch the whole store to Spatial mode: 2D at any time. See Accessibility and performance.
My product photos look boxed in
Products float on the page, so photos with a plain or transparent background look best. Use Blend product photos into the page on the product page, or choose Product object style: Framed in Theme settings › Product if your photos have busy backgrounds.
Filters do not show on collection pages
Install the free Shopify Search & Discovery app and add filters in it. Then make sure Enable filtering and sorting is on in the Collection space section of the collection template.
Color options do not show on product cards
Turn on Show color options in Theme settings › Product, and connect each product’s Color option to the Color category metafield in the product admin.
Your world or recently viewed products are empty
They fill as a visitor browses. Check Returning shoppers and Remember recently viewed products in Theme settings › Personalization. Buy again only appears for signed-in customers who have ordered before.
The countdown shows the wrong time
End time uses your store’s time zone (Settings › General) and the 24-hour format, for example 18:00. The date must be written as YYYY-MM-DD.
Discovery does not find a product
The built-in search reads product titles, types, vendors, tags, option values and descriptions. Add the words shoppers use to your product titles or tags. It reads up to 500 products; for larger catalogs, connect an endpoint. See Discovery.
The menu bar does not show at the top
With Navigation style: Spatial or Hybrid, your main menu lives in the Shop panel of the floating controls. Choose Classic in Theme settings › Navigation to also show it at the top of every page.
How do I update the theme?
When a new version is released, add it from the Theme Store and copy your settings across with Shopify’s update flow in Online Store › Themes. See the release notes.
