Working in the theme editor
Everything in Adaptive is set up in the Shopify theme editor: Online Store › Themes › Customize. Changes show in the preview straight away and nothing goes live until you click Save.
Add a section
- In the sidebar, click Add section in the part of the page where you want it.
- Hover a section in the list to see a preview of it.
- Search by name if you know what you need, then click the section to add it.
- Drag sections in the sidebar to reorder them; use the eye icon to hide one without deleting it.
Edit a section
Click a section in the sidebar and its settings open. The preview scrolls straight to the section, so you can see each change as you make it. Blocks inside a section (products, frames, parts, questions) are listed under it; click Add block to add more.
Change the whole store
Theme settings (the gear icon) hold the settings that apply to every page: the experience and world, colors, fonts, product cards, cart, discovery and more.
Headings marked with an italic button highlight the italic words in the accent color: select a word and press Italic in the heading field.
Templates
Use the page selector at the top of the editor to switch between the home page, products, collections, pages, blog, cart, search and the password page. To edit an alternate template such as product.feature-tour, pick it from the same selector.
